Beginners' Spanish
Starts: 23 July
Time: 1.00 pm to 3.00 pm
Venue: Presbyterian Church Hall Keen Street, Lismore
Tutor: Marion Andrew 0409 141 601
Come along and learn the basics of the Spanish Language. This course started at the beginning of Term I and will run throughout the year. We use the textbook "Easy Spanish Step-by-Step" by Barbara Bregstein. You can purchase the book online for about $20, or I can do that for you after you sign up for the class. If you would like to join us in Term III, you will need to either have some basic Spanish vocabulary and basic knowledge of Spanish verbs — or be prepared to do some extra studies of the first few chapters of the textbook, in order to catch up.

NEW - Dance Class Starts: 23 July
Time: 2.00 pm to 3.00 pm
Venue: Silvercloud Studios 14 Foleys Road, Lismore
Tutor: Miriam Torzillo 0404 593 312
This class is designed to benefit the body, mind and creativity. All three combined are what makes dance a great activity at any age.
Each class includes a warm-up of gentle stretches and exercises for strength, co-ordination and flexibility. This is followed by set sequences, made up of steps you might remember from social dance and everyday movement. Finally, there is an opportunity to activate the mirror neurons, muscle memory and creativity with some improvisation and choreography.
Open to any experience level and physical ability, the class can be done seated or standing, depending on mobility

NEW FORMAT: Computer Users Group (CUG)
U3A's Computer Users Group (CUG) will be trialling a new format this term.
The presentations each week will be a smorgasbord — a mix of traditional presentations and You Tube educational videos on topics of special interest to us older users of home computers. The videos may feature experts around the world answering common questions, such as how to get the best from Windows 10. As no one has yet volunteered to be the CUG coordinator for 2018, all will be encouraged to suggest people who can play a video or talk for a few minutes on a Monday.
However CUG will no longer be offered if not enough people offer to help run it.
If you would like to be a part of CUG's future, please contact Warwick or Kay Sherring on 6621 4619.
