Stories

The other day I sat in a room and realised all those members present had, between them, had about 500 years of experiences, ideas and stories.
We talked about "the good old days", how we had the best of times, and felt sorry for our younger generations.

Stories have greased the wheels of humanity for thousands of years.
Since our early days, stories have been used as a means of divulging tactical knowledge, and legends of our ancestors.

The communal fireplace set the stage for this human interaction, and the flow of knowledge, that started an important milestone in our history.

Instead of the fireplace we now have our cyberspace [fireplace], where we can tell our stories, either written or spoken, to all those gathered around.

One of the reasons for this section of our U3A site being set up, is for members to share their interesting stories
